Jamie S. Doming, MBA

Executive Director

Jamie earned her undergraduate degree with a full tuition scholarship at Louisiana State University (LSU) and her graduate degree in business, with a concentration of finance, at the University of New Orleans (UNO).  She spent time as a collegiate athlete and served in multiple organizations earning her the graduate student’s “Volunteer of the Year” award from the College of Business Executive Council.  She was named the Executive Director of the LPC Board in December 2017, after serving in non-profit and not for profit leadership roles.  In 2021, she was recognized by the Louisiana Counseling Association (LCA) with the Presidential Award for "exceptional service and dedication" to the state of Louisiana.  Jamie was recently elected as Chairwoman of the Counseling Compact Commission.  She enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.

Raelene Lundin

Deputy Director

Raelene received her undergraduate degree in Psychology in 2009 from the University of Northern Colorado. The Colorado native moved to Baton Rouge shortly after graduating. She has been a dedicated employee who has worked with the Board since 2011. She began her journey with the Board as the Credentialing Specialist and now is the Deputy Director. Raelene works closely with other Board Staff members, Committees of the Board, and has a wealth of knowledge of the Board Rules and Policies. When not working, Raelene loves to spend time with her husband and two daughters.

Madelyn King

Administrative Assistant

Madelyn is the Administrative Assistant at the LPC Board. She is the first smiling face you see when you walk into the building. Madelyn was born and raised in Denham Springs. She loves spending time with her family and friends. Her hobbies would include traveling and seeing new things. She loves what she does and is so excited to see what the future holds.

Imari Simmons

Verification Specialist

Imari is the Verification Specialist at the LPC Board. She is responsible for processing all license verification requests, Teletherapy approval, name change requests, accommodations requests, and assisting with day-to-day tasks throughout the office as needed. She enjoys working for the board because of her interest in counseling and psychology. She hopes to further her education and plans to get a degree in psychology. Born and raised in Baton Rouge, she lives with her fiancé, four cats, and her leopard gecko. Her hobbies include singing, writing, traveling, and chasing after her fur babies.

Charla Burchfield

Disciplinary Case Assistant

Charla is the Disciplinary Case Assistant at the LPC Board. She assists with day to day paperwork associated with complaints and the disciplinary process. You may also hear her voice on the phone when you call the Board Office. She has worked many years in Human Resources in the Mental Health field and knows the importance of Mental Health Professionals in our communities. Her family owns a Christmas Tree Farm and through the holidays you will find her there working the gift shop. Charla lives in Walker and enjoys spending her free time with her family and fur babies.

Shantel Washington, MBA

Credentialing Specialist

Shantel Washington serves as the Credentialing Specialist for the LPC board. Shantel earned her undergraduate degree and graduate degree in business with a concentration in Human Resource Management from Louisiana State University-Shreveport. Her professional career derives from over ten years of experience working as a civil servant with the State of Louisiana, in addition to some years in the private sector as a Human Resource Manager. Shantel believes in teamwork and striving for excellence. Outside of the office she loves spending time with her husband and daughter.
