Jamie earned her undergraduate degree with a full tuition scholarship at Louisiana State University and her graduate degree in business, with a concentration of finance, at the University of New Orleans. She spent time as a collegiate athlete and served in multiple organizations earning her the graduate student’s “Volunteer of the Year” award from the College of Business Executive Council. She was named the Executive Director of the LPC Board in December 2017, after serving in non-profit and not for profit leadership roles. In 2018, the LPC Board launched an innovative website and database that allows for more transparency and communication with constituents. The board was one of the first in the state of Louisiana to process all applications online with electronic records and data storage. Jamie was selected as a panelist at the 2018 National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC) conference to discuss the board's response to natural disasters, as well as the 2019 Council of State Governments (CGS) panel to discuss teletherapy regulation. In 2021, she was recognized by the Louisiana Counseling Association (LCA) with the Presidential Award for "exceptional service and dedication" to the state of Louisiana. Most recently, she was appointed as the Interstate Counseling Compact Commissioner for the state of Louisiana. She enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.
