LPC Board History

The LPC Board was established in 1987 by the Mental Health Counselor Licensing Act. The Board is an unclassified regulatory state agency that serves to protect the public. This entity provides for regulation of provisional licensees and licensed LPC's and LMFT's. The Board works to develop the minimum standards; not the best practices.
