Begin The Application Process

Out-of-State telehealth Registrations are for external licensees only. If you apply for telehealth registration, the system will effectively remove your status as a licensee in the state of Louisiana. If you would like to apply for licensure through our board, please visit the licensure application page.

If you are an out of state professional counselor or marriage and family therapist at the highest level (meaning you do not have to work under supervision) and would like to register to provide teletherapy services to clients who are physically located within the Louisiana state lines at the time of service, please begin the application process below. The timeliness of approval is dependent on receiving your criminal background check and your home state verification of license.

REGISTERED OUT-OF-STATE TELEHEALTH PROVIDER

I want to apply for telehealth services ONLY. I do not reside in Louisiana but would like to provide teletherapy service on a HIPAA compliant platform. I have an unencumbered license to provide mental health counseling at the highest level in my home state and will attest to abide by all current laws.
