Renewals

Provisional Licensee Renewal Information
 

Any former Counselor Intern or MFT-Intern who was issued a PLPC or PLMFT provisional license on May 1, 2015 must renew his/her provisional license(s) by October 31, 2017. Additionally, any individual who was approved as a PLPC or PLMFT during calendar year 2015 must renew his/her provisional license(s) by October 31, 2017. Renewal reminder postcards, indicating whether or not you were audited, were mailed out on August 4th. Renewal applications are available via the links below. Please also review Chapters 6 (PLPC) and 33 (PLMFT) of Board Rules for additional information.

 LPC and Privileging Designation Renewal Information

LPCs renewing in 2017 must submit their original, signed renewal application, payment, CEH Audit Form and CEH documentation (if AUDITED), and Supervisee Update Form (if a BA LPC-S) postmarked by June 30, 2017. ALL Board-Approved (BA) LPC Supervisors who are renewing their supervisor privileging designation must also submit a $50 renewal fee and 3 CEHs specific to supervision in order to renew this privileging designation. Please note that ALL BA LPC Supervisors must submit the Supervisee Update Form (even if NOT renewing the supervisor privileging designation). If the Board does not receive your original, signed renewal materials and payment(s) postmarked by June 30, 2017, you will be required to submit proof of CEHs for renewal of your LPC license and a $55 late fee for late renewal of your LPC license. Likewise, you will be assessed a $25 late fee for late renewal of each privileging designation.

The requirements for LPC Renewal are listed in Chapter 7 of Board Rules. If you have a new work address or any other applicable changes, please remember to submit an updated Declaration of Practice and Procedures Statement with your application. You may submit your LPC license renewal fee of $170, Board-Approved Supervisor privileging designation renewal fee of $50, Appraisal privileging designation renewal fee of $50, and all late fees via our Online Store. Please submit proof of online payment with your original, signed renewal materials (mailed or hand-delivered to the Board Office). We appreciate your cooperation!

 LMFT Renewals

LMFTs renewing by December 31, 2017 must submit a completed, original, signed renewal application payment or proof of payment, CEH Audit Form, and CEH documentation (if AUDITED), and Supervisee Update Form (if a LMFT-S or LMFT-SC) to the Board office postmarked by December 31, 2017. All Board-Approved LMFT Supervisors must also submit 6 CEHs in clinical MFT supervision and a $100 privileging designation renewal fee to renew this credential. The requirements for LMFT Renewal are listed in Chapter 35 of Board Rules. If you have a new work address or any other applicable changes, please remember to also submit an updated Declaration of Practice and Procedures Statement with your renewal application materials.
