Anna Cole, MS, LMFT

Anna is currently serving as Chair of the Marriage and Family Therapy Advisory Committee and also works on a volunteer basis doing research and writing, with her husband Chuck, in marriage and family therapy. The work they have in progress includes three research projects on marriage enrichment and a book entitled Marriage and Family Therapy in the New Millennium.

She moved to Louisiana in 1997 from Ames, Iowa, where she was in private practice as a marriage and family therapist for 21 years and also did research and writing as well as presenting workshops. She has a Masters of Science in Family Environment from Iowa State University, with postgraduate work in marriage and family therapy from Drake University in Iowa and Pennsylvania State University. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Iowa and Mississippi. She is a clinical member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), was the first person elected as student representative to the AAMFT Board, has served on the AAMFT Membership Committee and AAMFT Judicial Council, and as president of the Iowa Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.

Anna has been married for 30 years to Charles Lee (Chuck) Cole, a professor and endowed chair in marriage and family therapy at The University of Louisiana at Monroe. Her hobbies include genealogy and golf.
